What is Pictology?
Pictology, Inc. is a service for Professional photographers that allows them to quickly and easily upload their event images to the web and sell them to their clients in a secure environment.
What is the PUP?
The PUP is the Pictology Uploader Program, which is a PC and Mac compatible application that is used to create and upload events, as well as to process orders.
Can I use Pictology if I use a Mac?
Yes - Pictology will work regardless of whether you use a Mac or PC.
How long does it take to setup my Pictology account?
Setup only takes a matter of minutes. Just choose the plan that works best for you, follow a few quick steps, and your account will be activated.
Is there a Setup Fee?
There is NO setup fee. The Free Service Plan is, well, Free! If you choose the Premium Service Plan, all you pay is the monthly fee of $49.99 (prorated the first month). Both the Free and Premium Service plans are subject to a nominal ecommerce transaction fee on all credit card orders.
Do I need a merchant account?
No - Pictology will automatically process credit card transactions and forward the collected funds to your Pictology account.
How do I get paid?
Pictology sends out checks for the balance of your account on the 3rd and 18th of each month. There is a 3 day hold on all funds, so the periods that are paid are as follows: the 1st thru the 15th, paid on the 18th; the 16th thru the end of the month, paid on the 3rd of the following month.
Who does the printing?
You control how your orders get fulfilled. You can either pick a Pictology Partner lab to send your orders to, or you can fulfill the orders yourself. Your choice, and you can choose for each order.
Can I set my own prices?
Yes, you have complete control over what products you want to sell, and at what price you want to sell them.
Can different events have different products and prices?
Yes, Pictology supports multiple product lists, simply choose which product list you want to use when uploading an event.
What are the system requirements?
We fully support Windows XP, 2000 and Vista as well as Mac's running OS 10.3 and later. Minimum 512 MB RAM. |
